Ever accuse once wrongly before?

Ever being accused wrongly before?

How was the feeling like? Fustrated? Embarrassed? Furious? Livid? Irritated?

Sometimes, in life, "rules", "thinkings" are set for us without us realising. Most of the time, we tend to accept the "rules" and "thinkings" unconciously. This tends to limit us from going for the exceptions, going for the right truth. However, there are people who are exceptions. I truly admire people who go out of their "normal" circle, pursue exceptions and look for real truth.

Let's take a simple incident that happened to me. I remember quite some time back. Someone told me this, "Hey! You actually fall in love with someone!" My friend wasn't joking with what she said. She meant it.

Well, I was well known for being a busy student. I was somehow known as a more "hard-hearted" person. I had a more boyish character and as most people know, I have 2 CCAs, I am a student councillor and I am also a sportsleader. At times, I had some rare opportunities to experience different environment and interact with people from different background. More often than not, I was thought as a student who is busier than a teacher. Where on Earth would I have time for things that are out of my academic school life? But, well, in actual fact, the story was different.

This was just a simple example where there wasn't much consequence seen.

In some situations, when we failed to go for exceptions. There are some heavy consequences that we may have to be responsible of.

Let's take examples of certain discimination comments. For example, XXX(a group of people) are bad people. (It isn't convenient for me to have a precise example) Well, is it true that everyone in that group are bad people? I truly believe that it is not true. Who knows, a few people are forced to join that group under certain circumstances that we failed to understand. Yet, these people are treated badly like how the rest were treated.

Another good example which often appear in dramas would be police catching the wrong thief. One has committed a crime before. When something went wrong and happened that he was around, he would be caught and the name of thief was put over him even though he wasn't the thief already. In real life, we are "police" at times, aren't we? Sometimes, didn't we tend to put on stereotype thinkings over people? Sometimes, didn't we do what the police did in the dramas?

In life, "rules" set for us have already given us a general picture of how everything works. Typical thinkings have resticted us from pursuing the "actual truth".

Sometimes, we may just be too afraid to pursue for the exceptions. Sometimes, we may just be covered with stereotype thinkings that we failed to allow our thinking waves to be active in our brain.

I understand that it can be quite difficult to go for the different. Even I, myself at times jumped to conclusions to certain matters due to certain "rules" and certain "thinkings" and failed to know the truth that should be truth. At times, I have to pay for my wrong judgement. But, I think we should try to go for the different, go for the exceptions, go for the "actual" truth. I think a good way to go for the different, exceptions and real truth would be to clarify things.

People around me are aware that I hardly believe in what I heard. I only believe with what my heart and eyes see. Well, there are people who are irritated with what I always do to clarify certain matters. However, I hope you guys will understand.

I think another good way would be understand every detail of the situation. I think this would help to minimize wrong judgement.

However, afterall, we are humans. We will make mistakes.

Keeping quiet about certain issues NEVER means I have agreed with you.

Something really made me to almost blow up my temper. Ya, ALMOST!

What's the matter with pursuing a passion? What's the matter with playing in tournaments? What's the matter with playing netball this year? What are the problems with it?

All right, I understand that you are worried for my result. I am really grateful for that you are concerned about me. However, telling me to stop playing netball FOR LIFE, this would simply be asking me to commit suicide. Let me say out LOUD, I would rather die than stop playing netball forever.

I always wonder why didn't you ask me why am I so committed to Netball. Why didn't you ask me why am I so willingly to give my life to netball? Why didn't you ask me what have I lose and gain from netball? Why do always just ask me to stop playing Netball without asking me those questions?

You told me to take up jogging and running. Would it make a diferent? If I were to take up jogging and running, I would probably be training as hard as I did for netball. Till then, you would probably be telling me the same thing, wouldn't you?

Let me tell you, I love Netball!

Earlier of today, poor country bumpkin was playing a game with hooligans! The game was played as if the only rule for the game was to score. Oh well.. what to do? They are hooligans afterall. HA!

All right.. Shall end here for today.. Please pray hard for us, ya? As for what's the reason for doing so.. Shall tell you next time. =)

At the moment of uploading these photos (scroll down to view), tears were about to roll down my cheeks.

It was Racial Harmony Day on the Friday that has just past. It was the first time and probably the last time that I will be able to have a chance wearing other ethnic group costume. Thinking back, time has flied.

Li Ling, Me and Christine
Tanty and I. We can exchange race, ya? haha.
Sandra!!
Isabel and I. I liked the colour of Isabel's blouse.
Deborah and me!
From left: Hui Juan, Me, Ling Yun and Hui Ting
Me and Syahirah. Syahirah looked really adoable in the Chinese costume!
Me and Chia Yin..

On Saturday, the seniors once again gathered for netball. It is really the last game, last carnival, last time that we are able to do so. The day started off really badly. We were almost late. The first few games were terribly played. However, as the carnival processed, things got better. Our all time favourite coach, Kai Ling was here. =)

And for the seniors, our last game was really a nice closure for our netball journey in Hillgrove.
For the juniors, their last game was a good start for their journey.

Kai Ling and I =D
Celebrating at KFC (a bit blur -_-)
Another photo..
The oldies.. LOL!
Random Shot..

我们来到了一个终点了。我以依依不舍的心情离开了那球场。。。
The sweat we dripped, those torturous trainings we had, those failure we felt, the victory we made...

Every action counts!

I believe almost everyone in the world has forgot where they put their handphone at least once.

Did you forget because you are really forgetful? or Did you forget because you are too lazy to remember where you put your handphone? For this example, I would say that sometimes we are really too lazy to remember where we put our hanphones. It may just be a small action of memorizing where you put your handphone but it may have great impact in your life. You never know the moment you leave your phone unattended, a call that may allow you to earn millions of dollars come.

From here, let me talk more about small actions we do.

Sometimes, a smile, a stare or even just a word of "Hi" may brings about an impact on one another. You probably make someone day by giving him/her a smile. You probably provoke someone by just giving one a stare. You probably start one's day well by saying "Hi". These are actions that most people are able to see that you have done it.

How bout actions that you did and you THOUGHT no one watch it but who knows? For example, put in effort in the things you do.

Sometimes, it is difficult for one to see that you have put in effort although at times, there are some situations that everyone can see your effort. Let's talk about those times where you thought people could not see your effort put in.

Did you feel down when you had the thought of no one was appreciating your effort? Well, to me, I always believe that as long as you have put in effort in getting a thing done, there will be people out there who will apprecite your effort one day. At times, you just don't know that your effort has created an impact on someone.

Every action counts if you make a conscious effort to get things done.

Forgot to mention something about yesterday's games..

See la.. so forgetful me.. all thanks to those 3 shots! -.= During the games, three balls flew right into my head. They seemed to communicate with one another before hand. One hit the right side of my head, another on the left, lastly, the front. The first shot was the hardest and it hurts! For a few moments, my brain was like so heavy. When the "heaviness" goes off, another shot flew into my head. -.= Second shot wasn't that bad although it still hurts. The thrid shot flew into my head during the last game, last half. Fortunately, the last shot was a light one. Regardless, it simply hurts! . . . Apart from these 3 shots, I banged into Juli during one of the games and you know what? My head banged into the ball. *_*

Guess what? Met Kai Ling yesterday. She was there doing umpiring. Hope to see her soon. =)

If people are willing to change, why aren't they given a chance?

Sometime it is just difficult to understand how the world works. To me, at least.

To most people, this is probably a nonsense question but to me, for some reasons, it seems that I need to have a formula or some logic for me to understand the question.

Sometime, I just don't understand why is a thing called bad. I mean afterall, it is a matter of how good is good that matters how bad is bad. This always gets me fustrated.

I remember quite sometime back, I wrote this, "Why is stealing physical item called wrong?" Why aren't the people who have stolen things once given a chance? It is weird! When one stole physical item, they are being looked at differently and they get severe punishment. Yet, when someone steals a non-physical item, he or she doesn't get the punishment that one who has stolen a physical item received. What's more, these non-physical items worth more than any physical item. You guys must be wondering, what are physical items and what are non-physical items. To me, physical items refer to any item that contains molecules. For example, notes and coins. As for non-physical item, it refers to any item that does not contain molecules. For example, love and trust.

Sometime, I find that the most foolish action is someone who has stolen something that doesn't cost much, receives double the punishment of one who has stolen something that is priceless.

I believe that there are people who think that why have those non-physical items been stolen in the first place. Afterall, items like love can't be forced.

Then, I will ask, "Did we ever questioned ourselves why did people steal those physical items?" Could it be just out of boredem? or could it be out of greed? Ever questioned yourselves that? If people are willing to change, why aren't they given a chance?

Why am I evoked with so much emotions towards this issue? It is not that I have involved in crime or what-so-ever but rather, I just don't understand how the world works.

If people are willing to change, why aren't they given a chance?

Cartoon!

"What a coincidence!"

On the way to enter the theatre, I said that as I met Jody and her friend, Priscilla! Isn't that a coincidence? lolx..

Yesterday was at the theatre on bay to watched the 3rd NDP Combined Rehearsal. Isn't too bad, I guess. As the stage is one that floats, there's new items this year. For example, showcasing water warfare vehicle. However, I do feel bored at times through out the show too. Ya..

I would to mention someone in my blog today.

She is none other than Mrs Jennifer Peng. I would really like to thank her.

During the week that has just past, I had a 5 minutes conversation with her. I am so glad that I chatted with her. She is different from most of the teachers. This was what happened:

As I was approaching her, I thought she was going to ask me to go home and bury myself in books and only books. To my surprise, she encouraged me to relax at appropriate time.

I am really glad to have such a considerate teacher. Thank you, Mrs Peng.

Most teachers would have told their students off when they see their students not buried in books or staying back in school.

Over the week, almost every teachers and some adults have been telling the Sec 4 to study and study, be it directly or indirectly. I will just bring up a few incidents that I came across.

Example No.1..
A teacher "taught" us how to plan a timetable for ourselves. It is very kind of her to teach us how to do so. However, there was a few sentences that she said irritated my ears. She told us that we are SUPPOSE to reach home on weekdays by 4.30pm and start revision straight away and have 7 hours straight of studies with 1/2 hour break for dinner only. On weekend, start revision at 12.30pm and followed by 11 hours stright of studies with 2 1/2 hours break for lunch and dinner.

Goodness! 57 hours spent with books every week. I think I will go mad with such a schedule. It is totally madness! I feel that the teacher is encouraging us to study and study and the only thing that a Sec 4 student could do is study and probably eat.

Example No.2..
"Why are you still involve in your CCA?"
"Why are you still in school?"
Ok, so for Sec 4, we not suppose to relax ourselves and we are suppose to study at home. I seriously hate it! What's wrong with helping out in CCAs? What's wrong?

I always agree with what my present coach tells me.. Whenever someone skips training and the reason is her parents want her to study, she will always say "Not like the child is going to study for that 2 hours that we are having training." It is true, isn't it? Sometimes, parents seriously have equal madness as the teacher in example 1. Seriously, we can't study all day long right? I mean, yes, there are people who are able to do so. Most people think that, all teenagers should do and they must have discipline to do so!

Example No.3..
"You should stop playing Netball and concentrate on your studies!"
This sentence arose ALL my emotions. So, as a Sec 4 student, I am not suppose to carry on my passion? Goodness!

All the above examples are real life examples and I experienced them.

I understand that these people who have said these words are concern about the Sec 4 students. I agree that Sec 4 students should study as much as possible. However, not too much. Our brain is just like a balloon. Gaining knowledge is all right.. However, if at one shot, you blow in all the knowledge into the balloon, the balloon will just burst and not able to contain any more knowledge. However, if the balloon was slowly blow up, the balloon can withstand higher pressure.

To teachers, parents, adults out there: I understand that you want us to to do well in exams. I appreciate your concern. but.. Please do not restrict us with too many things!

As most people know, GST in Singapore has increased from 5% to 7%. Obviously, all selling prices increased and what can we do to not spend too much? One very useful and practical way is to spend less. =D

All right, let me share some saving tips from my point of view. =D
(Note to be taken: I am not discouraging anything, I am just suggesting ways to save money!!)

1) Take public transport. If possible, try not to take taxi through it is considered as public transport. Better still, jog or walk to your destination.

No offend to the taxi drivers. But, for some people who really want to save up money, take buses and trains. They cost less than half the fare of the taxi's. For people who are fitter or would like to be fitter, try jogging and walking to your destination.

2) For car owners, plan your route for the day. It will help you to save fuel cost. However, public tranports and jogging would be a better choice through.

3) Use fans instead of air-conditioners.

Who wouldn't want to feel cool for 24 hours? But do you know that, the cost of using air-conditioners are thrice of that of the fans? Most importantly, using fans would definitely more environmental friendly than using of air-conditioners. Nevertheless, natural wind would be the best!

4) Eat at hawker centers instead of foodcourt.

I believe most people would prefer food court to hawker. Most people reflected that it is because there're air-conditioners at the food court. But, well, are you aware that food sold at the foodcourt are slightly more expensive that those sold at hawker center? To me, I always feels that air-conditioners always spoil the original flavour of the food.

5) Cook your owe meals and/or bring lunchboxes to school or to your work place. (for those who would like to save more)

6) Play sports and/or do workouts at areas that are less costly or best still, free-of-charge.

Playing netball in public court would definitely be cheaper than playing bowling. Jogging around neighbourhood would definitely be less costly than running on trackmill in gym.

7) Use house phone to call instead of your handphone.

The cost of using handphone to call out is definitely more expensive than using your house phone unless you have free outgoing call. If you are running out of sms, call the person and talk through phone. A minute of conversation would definitely get more message across compared to 4 smses.

8) Call at the off-peak hours (if possible)

If there's a need to use handphone and yet you want to save money, try to call your friends and loved ones at the off-peak hours.

9) Try not to surf the net using handphone.

Surfing net through computers are less costly than when you surf net through phone. What's more, most of us have a certain no. of hours of internet that are charged at a cheaper rate.

10) Bring boiled plain water for sports.

Personnelly, realised this, nowadays, people prefered buying drinks from shops than getting themselves "home-produced" water. What's more it is proven that plain drinking water is the best for one after playing sports. Of course, boiled plain water cost less than you buy a bottle of drink from a shop.

11) Bring a bottle of "home-produced" water where ever you go. (just to add on to No. 10)

This would definitely save you the cost to get yourself a drink when you are thristy.

All right, I think that's all for now. Feel free to leave a comment to these tips. =)
